We specialise in the application of various types of lime plaster and lime mortar to historic, heritage and conservation buildings.

We survey and quote for repairs required to existing stonework, and for any new stone projects you may be considering.

Step repairs throughout Edinburgh, from repointing communal steps that are letting water in to replacing full steps in natural sandstone.

We replace unsafe masonry and dress sandstone to match the original carving, secured with stainless steel dowels and built in lime mortar.

The traditional method of fitting timber frames to openings in masonry buildings — never surpassed, and not to be altered.

Any stone that is structurally unsafe is cut out and replaced in the same material, dressed to match the original.

Lime wash is pure slaked lime in water, producing a unique surface glow from the double refraction of calcite crystals.
